Orientation

Orientation

Welcome, Incoming Students!

Congratulations on your admission to Northwestern Pritzker School of Law!

We are looking forward to welcoming you into our NLaw community at Orientation!

Optional Pre-Orientation programming begins on Friday, August 16. Participation is completely optional. But if you are in Chicago, we would really love to have you come and cross some things off your to-do list so that you are not rushing to complete them on August 23. It’s also a great opportunity to meet your classmates and talk to some professors. Come anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Pre-Recorded Content will be available anytime between Monday, August 19 and Thursday, August 22. These sessions are designed to introduce you to NLaw and provide essential information to kickstart your law school journey.

Live Orientation is scheduled for Friday, August 23, and attendance is mandatory for all incoming students. This full-day event will be held on campus in Chicago and promises a packed agenda with valuable information, food, and fun! Check-in will be from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m.

Post-Orientation programming will occur throughout the first few days and weeks of school. These sessions are required, and you'll receive reminders about them as the dates approach.

Public Service Event

At Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, we believe that it is important not only to cultivate a sense of community here at the law school but also to be active members in the greater community of Chicago. The Public Interest Center (PIC) and the Public Interest Law Group (PILG) are planning many exciting volunteer opportunities to start off your orientation to Northwestern and the City of Chicago. You will have the opportunity to volunteer for projects on Saturday, August 24.
