Welcome, Incoming Students!
Congratulations on your admission to Northwestern Pritzker School of Law! We are looking forward to welcoming you into our NLaw community at Orientation!
Orientation 2026 events will take place during the week of August 17-21. Orientation is mandatory for all incoming 1Ls and will occur on campus in Chicago.
- Pre-orientation programs for targeted student populations will take place on Monday & Tuesday (August 17-18).
- Tuesday, August 18: Orientation begins in the morning with check-in, a tour of the law school, and the opportunity to get your Wildcard, buy books, etc.
- Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20: We have full days of mandatory orientation programming to prepare you for your time in law school.
*You will receive more detailed information at the beginning of August.
Public Interest Center Day of Service
At Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, we believe that it is important not only to cultivate a sense of community here at the law school but also to be active members in the greater community of Chicago. The Public Interest Center (PIC) and the Public Interest Law Group (PILG) are planning many exciting volunteer opportunities to start your orientation to Northwestern and the City of Chicago. You will have the opportunity to volunteer for projects on Friday, August 21.
