Before You Arrive
Transcripts
Northwestern Law must receive official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions a student attended by the first day of classes. Official college transcripts must be sent directly to the Admissions Office from the issuing institution, and must include the following information:
- The college seal
- The degree and date the degree was awarded
- The grade point average
- An appropriate school official's signature (usually the Registrar)

Laptop Requirements
- All incoming students are required to have a computer that meets or exceeds the University's recommended guidelines.
- For further information and links to Dell or Apple educational purchase website, go to Laptop Requirements.
- Laptops that do not meet the minimum specifications will receive limited support from IT.
Public Service Events
The Public Interest Center and Student Effort to Rejuvenate Volunteering (SERV), a student group organization focused on improving community service involvement, have planned a few volunteer projects at various locations Saturday, August 19th. - Day of Service sites (Actual sites may vary): Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, Center on Wrongful Convictions, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Jarvis Bird Sanctuary, Legal Prep Charter School, Misericordia, Talcott Fine Arts and Museum Academy, Women's Justice Institute, Habitat for Humanity
